THERE ARE SOME CHANGES TO FIRST AID REGS IN THE WORKPLACE FROM 1 OCTOBER 2009. REMEMBER TO CHECK THEM OUT. EXISTING FIRST AID CERTIFICATES WILL REMAIN VALID, HOWEVER, FOR ALL FIRST AIDERS RETRAINING FROM 1 OCT 09, NEW ARRANGEMENTS WILL APPLY.

The evidence required to substantiate a Training & Development Plan claim will need to include some of the following documents:-

·         Course Attendance Certificates

·         Training Achievement Certificates

·         Course / Short Training Session attendance registers, including the signatures of attendees and trainers

·         Training provider invoices showing the type of training, attendees and duration of courses.

·         Timesheets

·         Agendas and minutes from meetings that include any training

·         Written training programmes for all training (including ‘in company training’)

More importantly from the evidence provided you must be able to identify the following:-

·         The type of training

·         The aims and content of training

·         The date(s) of training

·         The duration of training

·         The name(s) of attendees and their signature(s)

·         The name of the trainer and their signature

This is very important as your grant verifier will check the evidence before approving payment.
